Glucagon Stimulation Test

Clinical Use:
|
Glucagon stimulates the release of GH and ACTH from the pituitary gland. In this test, glucagon is administered and the response of cortisol and GH in peripheral blood is measured. It is considered to be safer than insulin stimulation of pituitary function, especially in young children and infants. |
