Clinical Use:

Leptin is a peptide hormone secreted from adipocytes in response to the amount of fat stored; it plays a key role in regulating energy intake and energy expenditure.
Leptin acts through hypothalamic receptors and the neuroendocrine system to reduce appetite.
This test is only available if requested by a paediatric specialist. |
