Test Entry - Detail
Nickel (Spot Urine)

General
Clinical Use: Breathing dust high in nickel content has been associated with nickel toxicity. Most reactions are localised skin sensitivity and allergic skin conditions from contact with nickel alloys. There have also been associations with lung and nasal sinus cancers. Nickel carbonyl used in petroleum refining is extremely toxic and exposure may cause pulmonary congestion and inability to oxygenate haemoglobin.
