Copper (24hr Urine)


General
  Clinical Use: Urinary copper is of interest when copper overload is present. Urinary copper excretion is raised in Wilson's Disease and other hepatic illnesses. When chelation is in progress, regular 24-hour urine specimens may be collected for up to 5 days to monitor excretion of copper.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested once a week.
