Hepascore is a new liver function test derived from a panel of four serum analytes which is capable of accurately predicting the extent of liver fibrosis in patients with hepatitis C infection. Hepascore may also be applicable to other liver diseases and is being trialed for fatty liver disease and hepatitis B infection. Hepascore requires serum for the measurement of serum bilirubin, gamma glutamyl transferase, a2 macroglobulin and hyaluronic acid levels. |
