  Clinical Use: Investigation of infectious causes of corneal lesions. Includes Acanthamoeba and bacterial and fungal organisms.
For corneal scrapes and biopsy contact Ophthalmology Registrar.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.

  Collection Instructions: Collection performed by Ophthalmology clinicians.
Collection kits are available from CSRA for SCGH, PCH, FSH, FH and RPH.
Elsewhere, place sample into 0.5mL of warm sterile saline and deliver to laboratory immediately.
Indicate specimen type, any specific organism investigation required and any relevant clinical history on request form.
