Clinical Use:
|
Interferon-gamma release assay (ELISpot assay) against tuberculosis-specific antigens that is used for the diagnosis of latent tuberculosis. This assay may be more senstitive in immunosuppressed hosts and is generally recommended in cases of an indeterminate QuantiFERON-Gold assay result.
Not available as a latent TB screening test. For screening use QuantiFERON-TB. This assay MUST be ordered by consultation only and generally patients must be bled at FSH. |
