Clinical Use:
|
C1 esterase inhibitor deficiency may be associated with hereditary angioedema. Sera are first tested for Complement C4; if this is <0.24g/L then a C1 esterase inhibitor quantitative level (C1ES) measuring the amount of C1 esterase inhibitor present and functional activity (C1FUN) are measured. |
