Collection Requirements
  Container: Serum, no gel (RED),  
  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 0.5mL
  Collection Instructions: In neonates, sample should be collected at least 48 hours post-partum.
If dexamethasone suppression test requested and dexamethasone dose already taken, collect sample for dexamethasone suppression test first and schedule the 17-Hydroxyprogesterone in 1 week.

If a sample other than serum non-gel is received, please forward sample to the testing department to determine sample suitability.
