Folate (Serum)


General
  Clinical Use: Serum folate is the primary test for patients at risk of folate deficiency. It is used to in the setting of Macrocytic anaemia, malabsorption (e.g. Coeliac disease), nutritional deficiency or malnutrition and as part of a Dementia screen.
