General
  Clinical Use: PTH is used to help distinguish the causes of calcium metabolism disorders, to evaluate parathyroid function and to confirm removal of the parathyroid gland(s) during surgery.
It is recommended to request (ionised) calcium along with PTH.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
