General
  Clinical Use: For the detection of Bilirubin or Haemoglobin in Cerebrospinal Fluid.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.

  Handling Instructions (to laboratory): Send sample chilled and protected from light.
If there is an expected delay in delivery of sample to testing laboratory, the sample should be centrifuged and the supernatant transferred to a secondary sterile container.

Processing Requirements
  Alternate Containers:
  Processing Instructions: Pack CSF samples in a biohazard bag and then a brown paper bag.
Attach "CSF sample" sticker to outside of brown paper bag.
Pack at top of esky.
Label esky with "Urgent" and "CSF sample" stickers and send to CSRA to give to the Biochemistry Scientist.
  Minimum Assay Volume: 0.5mL
