Oxidative Burst


General
  Clinical Use: Screening test for Chronic Granulomatous Disease(CGD). NBT and DHR tests are performed together.
Test must be ordered by a hospital specialist or Immunologist and include full clinical history.
  Availability: Samples are tested Monday-Friday before 1400.

Collection Requirements
  Container: EDTA (LAVENDER),  
  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 1mL
  Collection Instructions: Bloods must be taken at QEII or PCH sites.
Contact testing laboratory prior to collection of samples.
Samples must reach testing laboratory before 2pm on day of collection.

  Processing Instructions: Process sample immediately on arrival in laboratory.
The testing department should be contacted to arrange collection of sample from CSRA.
  Minimum Assay Volume: 1mL
  Stability: 6 hours ambient
