IgG Deamidated Gliadin Antibody

General
Clinical Use: Antibodies against deamidated gliadin peptide (IgG-DGP) are found in patients with coeliac disease. This test is particularly helpful for assessment of coeliac disease in children less than 2 years old and in patients with IgA deficiency.
IgG-DGP levels can assist in monitoring response to gluten-free diet in patients with coeliac disease.
Availability: Samples are batched and tested once a week. The DGPG test should only be ordered for external labs where it is specifically requested. All PathWest requests should use the COELS panel.
