Chlamydophila pneumoniae Serology


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnostic serological testing for Chlamydophilia pneumonia. Quantitative IgG testing is performed. IgG levels may be low early in infection; acute and convalescent sera are required to confirm recent infection by demonstrating a significant increase in IgG.
Chlamydophilia pneumoniae PCR testing of a respiratory tract specimen is recommended for diagnosis of acute Chlamydophilia pneumoniae infection.
