Clostridium difficile Toxin Tesing


General
  Clinical Use: Clostridium difficile is usually linked with antibiotic associated diarrhoea and pseudomembranous colitis. PCR testing is used to confirm the presence of the Clostridium difficile toxin B gene. Positive toxin gene specimens will then have an Enzyme Linked Immunoassay(ELISA) performed to detect actual toxin production
