  Clinical Use: Adjunctive diagnostic testing for Francisella tularensis infection (tularaemia). Bacteriological testing (MC&S) of body fluids/tissues is recommended.
  Availability: Testing is not available at PathWest but may be referred when clinically indicated.

  Collection Instructions: If tularaemia is strongly suspected, please discuss with a Clinical Microbiologist before collecting specimens as additional laboratory safety measures may be required.
