Legionella PCR


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnostic testing for Legionella species, including L. pneumophila and L. longbeachae. Lower respiratory tract specimens are suitable for testing (e.g. sputum, BAL). For investigation of suspected Legionella pneumophila infection, Legionella urinary antigen testing is also recommended.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
