Clinical Use:

Diagnostic testing for rubella.
When acute rubella infection is suspected, PCR on throat swab, urine and EDTA blood is recommended, together with rubella serology.
Testing can also be performed on amniotic fluid or products of conception. |

Availability:

Testing is performed Monday to Saturday, with results usually available within 48-72h of receipt by the testing lab. |
