Clinical Use:

Synovial fluid is examined to determine the presence and identification of crystals for gout or pseudogout diagnosis. Also taken to determine the presence or absence of infection. |

Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
Please note that Crystal examination is NOT performed at Regional Sites - Sample is forwarded to QEII. |
