HTLV Serology


General
  Clinical Use: Screening and diagnostic testing for human T-lymphotrophic virus I and II (HTLV-I/II). An immunoassay detecting antibodies to HTLV-I and HTLV-II is performed. Reactive specimens are referred to the National Serology Reference Laboratory (NRL) in Victoria for supplementary HTLV testing including western blot.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
