Klebsiella granulomatis PCR


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnostic testing for Klebsiella granulomatis infection (donovanosis, aka granuloma inguinale).
Suitable specimens are ulcer/lesions swabs and lymph node biopsies.
  Availability: Testing is performed Monday to Saturday, with results usually available within 3-5 days of receipt by the testing lab.

  Minimum Collection Volume:
  Collection Instructions: Swabs in charcoal or other bacterial transport medium are not suitable for PCR testing.
