Clinical Use:

A raised Carbohydrate Deficient Transferrin (CDT) greater than 2.5% is highly suggestive of chronic harmful alcohol abuse.
An indicator of chronic alcohol abuse, raised with chronic alcohol consumption of > 60 - 80 g alcohol/day. |
