Clinical Use:

The mesylate salt of imatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor with antineoplastic activity.
Imatinib can be used to treat:
- Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST- tumors of the digestive passages),
- Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans,
- Acute lymphoblastic leukemia,
- Chronic myelogenous leukemia,
- Chronic eosinophilic leukemia. |
