Factor VIII Assay


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnosis and monitoring of Haemophilia A and Von Willebrands disorder.
For suspected cases of Von Willebrands disorder a PFA100, Ristocetin co-Factor, vWAg and CBA may be indicated in addition to the FVIII complex.
FVIII levels may also be elevated in inflammatory disorders and may be measured as part of a thrombophilia screen
  Availability: Samples are tested Monday-Friday.

  Collection Instructions: If sample will not reach laboratory within 4 hours of collection, it must be centrifuged, separated and frozen.
