Hendra Virus Serology


General
  Clinical Use: Adjunctive diagnostic testing for Hendra virus. Hendra virus PCR testing of blood and/or CSF and/or respiratory specimens is also recommended.
  Availability: Testing is not available at PathWest but may be referred when clinically indicated.

  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 3mL
  Collection Instructions: If there is a suspected case of Hendra virus infection, contact a Clinical Microbiologist before submitting specimens for testing.
