Clinical Use:

Chromium is an essential trace element reasonably abundant in the enviroment however it is present in the body in relatively small concentrations. It is used in a wide variety of industrial processes and measurement of plasma levels can be used as an index of excessive exposure. It may remain elevated some weeks after removal from source. Chromium assay is also used for monitoring of TPN supplementation. |
