Reticulocyte


General
  Clinical Use: Reticulocyte count is a reflection of recent bone marrow activity. Reticulocytes are immature red blood cells. Can be used to help determine the cause of anaemia. Reported as % and absolute number (x 10^9/L).
Must add FBP when RETICS requested, cannot be ordered in isolation.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
This test may be eligible for Rule 3 exemption if indicated.
