Lithium


General
  Clinical Use: To determine lithium concentration in the blood in order to maintain a therapeutic level or to detect lithium toxicity.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
This test may be eligible for Rule 3 exemption if indicated.

  Minimum Collection Volume: 1mL
  Collection Instructions: Sample must be collected 12 hours after last dose if monitoring levels.
Record date, time and dosage of last dose on request form.
