Detection of Somatic Variants in the BRAF Gene
General
| |
Clinical Use:
Oncogenic variants in BRAF, in particular at the hotspot codon 600 (V600), have been associated with different kinds of cancer, including melanomas, colorectal and ovarian cancers, papillary thyroid cancers, cholangiocarcinoma's, a lung, breast and testicular cancer. Depending on tumour subtype, the assay has diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic biomarker significance. |
