Autologous Eye Drops (FSH BMTL)

Clinical Use:
|
Serum from the 12 x 8.5mL (or 22 x 5ml) SST Gold top tubes will be used to manufacture eyedrops for the patient.
The 2 x 5ml SST and 2 x PPT pearl top tube will be used for serological infectious disease testing.
Only to be used for patients with a "FRM-1134 FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL BMTL - Autologous Serum Eye Drops Request Form". |

Samples to be collected at PathWest collection centres only.
DO NOT COLLECT SAMPLES ON FRIDAYS OR PRIOR TO PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
METRO: Collect Monday to Thursday ONLY.
REGIONAL: Collect Monday to Wednesday ONLY.
Request for the Preparation of Autologous Serum Eye Drops: FRM-1134 must be signed by the Ordering Physician.
Blood Draw Consent form for Autologous Serum Eye Drops: FRM-1133 must be signed by the Patient.
If sample will not reach laboratory within 4 hours of collection, it must be centrifuged and chilled. DO NOT SEPARATE.
NOTE: Registration of "HEDS" test code will also reflex [STHIV], [STSAG], [STHBM], [STHCV], [STHTL], [STTPE], [SECMG] and [NATBM]. |
