Collection Requirements
  Container: Serum, no gel (RED),  
  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 0.5mL
  Collection Instructions: If dexamethasone suppression test requested and dexamethasone dose already taken, collect sample for dexamethasone suppression test first and schedule the androstenedione in 1 week.

  Processing Instructions: Centrifuge sample as soon as possible.
If a sample other than serum non-gel is received, please forward sample to the testing department to determine sample suitability.

  Stability: 7 days chilled; 6 months frozen
