Adjunctive diagnostic testing for hepatitis E.
Serology is the recommended primary diagnostic test for immunocompetent patients; PCR will be performed when hepatitis E IgG is positive to confirm recent infection.
Hepatitis E PCR is recommended for diagnostic testing in immunocompromised patients. |
