Clinical Use:

Estimated glomerular filtration rate or eGFR is used to assess kidney function.
The eGFR CKD-EPI calculation uses creatinine, sex and age.
eGFR is only applicable to patients with stable medical conditions, is inappropriate for drug dosing and does not apply to pregnant females,
children, elderly, extremes of weight or patients on dialysis.
It is not reported in pregnant females or children <18y. |
