Anti-Myeloperoxidase Autoantibody


General
  Clinical Use: Vasculitis, this is a confirmatory assay for samples positive by the immunofluorescence assay for ANCA (anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies).
New patients are screened by testing for ANCA by immunofluorescence, and Anti-MPO and Anti-PR3 are added if positive. Known positive patients only require Anti-MPO for monitoring.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested once a week.
