ADA Isoenzymes


General
  Clinical Use: This assay is used for fractionating ADA1 and ADA2 in regard to Total ADA activity.
Adenosine deaminase (ADA) deficiency is a systemic purine metabolic disorder that primarily affects lymphocyte development, viability, and function; and is characterised by abnormal inflammation of various tissues.
Testing MUST be arranged BEFORE collection.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested fortnightly.

  Collection Instructions: PLEASE CONTACT BGU PRIOR TO COLLECTION.
Sample MUST reach BGU on day of collection.
Plasma must not be haemolysed.
Collect sample Monday-Wednesday only.
Do not collect prior to public holidays.
Non-medicare rebateable item. All patients except Public, VA and Pensioners must pay $87.00 upfront.
