Clinical Use:

Screening and diagnostic testing for cytomegalovirus (CMV). CMV IgG is performed on all requests. CMV IgM is performed unless clinical history suggests test is for screening purposes (e.g. pre-transplant) or IgG only is requested. CMV IgG avidity testing is performed when requested, provided CMV IgG is detectable. |
