IBM (NT5C1A) Antibody


General
  Clinical Use: Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) is a subgroup of the Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies (IMM). It is characterised by chronic muscle weakness, inflammation of skeletal muscle, electromyographic abnormalities and increased muscle enzymes. Cytosolic 5' Nucleotidase 1A (NT5C1A) has been identified as the target antigen of autoantibodies in IBM as demonstrated in muscle biopsy and by immunoblotting with the recombinant antigen.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested once a month.
