SARS-CoV-2 PCR


General
  Clinical Use: For the diagnosis of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 infection).
The recommended specimen is a single swab used first to swab the throat, followed by deep nasal swabbing via both nostrils. Testing of other respiratory tract specimens may also be performed if clinically indicated (e.g. nasopharyngeal swab, sputum, BAL).
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
