Detection of MYD88 L265P Variant

Clinical Use:
|
This test detects the MYD88 L265P variant which is used to establish the diagnosis of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) and Waldenstrom Macroglobulinaemia (WD).
Molecular testing for MYD88 L265P is important for small B cell lymphomas that display plasmacytic differentiation, including those that do not exhibit the classic histomorphological features. Its presence is highly suggestive, but not absolute of LPL and WD. |
