Helicobacter pylori Faecal Antigen


General
  Clinical Use: Used to detect current Helicobacter pylori infection.
Some medications can interfere with interpretation of results. Test can be done 4 weeks after stopping antibiotics, 2 weeks after stopping sucralfate and 1 week after stopping PPI's.
  Availability: Testing is completed at the referral laboratory Tuesday-Friday, with results being available within two weeks.
