Chlamydia trachomatis genoserovar


General
  Clinical Use: Determination of Chlamydia trachomatis genoserovar. Serovars A-C are associated with trachoma; serovars L1, L2, L3 with lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV); serovars D-K with other sexually-acquired infection. Testing is only performed on special request and requires a specimen positive for C. trachomatis.
  Availability: Testing is performed on request, with results usually available within 7 days.
