| Clinical Use: | RHD Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is available to all Rhesus D negative pregnant women from 20 to 32 weeks gestational age. Specimens cannot be accepted outside the gestational age range specified as the test has been validated at PathWest to be most accurate for use during this time-period. Please note this is a separate test to the non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) that is used to screen for chromosomal abnormalities or other genetic conditions. The two tests are done for different reasons and provide different information. See hyperlink for more information. |
