Newborn Screening SCID - Lymphocyte Subsets

Clinical Use:
|
Severe Combined immune deficiency (SCID) is included in the WA Newborn Screening (NBS) program of routinely screened disorders.
Initial testing is performed on a dried blood spot test by the Biochemical Genetics Unit.
Follow up testing for lymphocyte subsets and T cell memory is performed by the QEII Immunology laboratory. |

The testing department should be contacted to arrange collection of sample from CSRA.
TBNKN can only be requested if the following criteria is met:
ATT DR: M4449 / WARD: PQIMM / FE: PUB
If FE = PVT, create a new stay.
If the request does not meet the above criteria, register as TBNK. |
