Clinical Use:
|
Immunology requests patient bleeds where previous testing has identified an antibody that may be
useful as an internal control.
Patients are sent a letter asking for participation with a dedicated request
form that they should present at the collection centre.
Approximately 100ml of blood is requested but this will depend on the age, health, and ease of drawing blood from the patient. All collected tubes should be stored chilled or ambient and sent directly to QEII Immunology.
