Urine Anion Gap


General
  Clinical Use: Calculated as the difference between the sum of the urine sodium (Na) plus potassium (K) concentrations and the urine chloride (Cl) concentration.
Clinically used to differentiate gastrointestinal and renal causes of normal anion-gap metabolic acidosis.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
