| Clinical Use: | Assessment of patients with suspected autoimmune encephalitis and autoimmune limbic encephalitis. A variety of clinical features may accompany these disorders including, but not limited to, refractory seizures; cerebellar ataxia; dyskinesias and movement disorders; neuropsychiatric symptoms; dysautonomia. Requests for urgent testing must be discussed directly with an immunopathologist. Autoimmune encephalitis antibody panel includes antibodies to: NMDA-Receptor, LGI1 & CASPR2 (also known as VGKC antibodies); GABA-R-B1/B2; AMPA-R1/2; ANNA-1 (Hu); ANNA-2 (Ri); PCA1 (Yo); CRMP5 (CV2); Amphiphysin; Ma1 and Ma2; Tr (DNER). |
