Disaccharidases


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnosis of small intestine disaccharidases (ie maltase, sucrase or lactase) deficiency.

Collection Requirements
  Container: Sterile Container (STERILE),  
  Sample Type: Intestinal Biopsy
  Minimum Collection Volume: 5mg
  Collection Instructions: The intestinal biopsy should be dry and placed in a small piece of aluminium foil then in a sterile container and frozen ASAP. Please avoid placing the sample directly on ice. If the sample is received in saline, it should be blotted dry ASAP before placing in foil and freezing.
