Clinical Use:
|
Prolactin levels are of interest in evaluating management of patients with pituitary adenomas, amenorrhoea and galactorrhoea and selected cases of infertility in males and females. Prolactin levels are increased during pregnancy and the post partum lactation period. Levels may also be increased with physical and emotional stress, sleep, hypoglycemia and renal failure. |
