Parietal Cell Antibody


General
  Clinical Use: Autoimmune gastritis (type A) and pernicious anaemia are associated with antibodies against gastric parietal cells (GPC) and intrinsic factor. GPC may also be found in other organ-specific autoimmune disaeses and may be present in elderly patients in the absence of autoimmune disease.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested twice a week.
